SBFband
How does it differ? SBFband is named after it's author, Steve Fisher. It's a Zangband-based variant, removing lots of the Zelazny related material and replacing it with the authors choice of design based around David Eddings' novels. It takes several ideas and implementations from other variants, too.
New to 0.2.0; Rings of Weakness and Stupidity reappear. Balancing tweaks to various monsters. Added friendly uniques Beldin and Relg. Added monster uniques Zandramas and Taur Urgas. Increased initial stealth for the Ranger. introduced FRIEND flag. Added the Amulet of Beldaran. Added 'encase monster in stone.' racial power for the Ulgos. Added Matt Graham's speaking uniques patch. Numerous bugfixes.
New to 0.2.1; Cubragol activiation fixed. Added activation to the Amulet of Beldaran. Added additional lines to bravado.txt. Interesting rooms can't be icky and can be lit. Multiplying monsters don't multiply as often. Rogues and characters with passable disarming gain more info about what traps do. XP gained by disarming traps depends upon the dungeon level. Appropriate rods and wands, when identified, show the amount of damage done by them. Damamge done by wands and rods has been tweaked - wands do more damage than their rod equivalent. Made additions to the documentation. Changed the message that shows when Word of Recall takes effect. Option to view completed quests in the current knowledge menu. Put back the dimension door power for Mindcrafters. Lots of additions from Zangband 2.2.5. Added unique speeches for Eddings uniques. Added more monsters from Eddings. Added the Bastard Sword 'Cthrek-Goru'. Fixed Mirrored Quartet and Twisted Cube vaults. Added uniques and artifacts from the Record of Lodoss War anime. Lots of bugfixes.
New to 0.2.2; Minor bugfixes. Added some new OS/2 support in the source distribution.
