Rangband
How does it differ? R is for Realistic Angband. Animal corpses can now be carried and eaten, and the player can gain temporary effects from eating different corpses! Unique corpses count as artifacts - some can be activated, give resistances, etc. Objects have realistic weights, with some phenomenal ones for certain corpses. New artifacts, faster autoroller, and more minor modifications to the vanilla game. New to 1.03; random artifact generation and the reimplementation of player ghosts. New to 1.04; meat can be cured with certain potions, uses kill count code from Zangband, crossbows require a turn to wind and a turn to fire, friendlier alchemists, armour can be destroyed if damaged severely enough by acid, flavoured terrains and a general tweaking of the monster AI.
