| How does it differ? |
Psi is for Psionics, the new ability introduced in this variant. A new class
called Psionicist finds and uses Foci to focus their mental powers. Different
Foci are available with different powers, and are worn as Amulets. This version
also includes the option of having a random set of artifacts as opposed to the
traditional ones we all know and love (?) using Greg Wooledge's randart 0.6.0
patch.

New to 1.0.6;
Based on Angband 2.8.3. Added Keldon Jones' AI patch. Kamand pet code stolen for
dominated monsters. Some monsters are immune or have resistance to psionics. Deep
foci are more shallow and rarer. Adrenaline overdose does more damage. Energy
containment ends early more often and doesn't last as long. Biofeedback speeds
regeneration and has other minor effects. Certain monster attacks risk causing
amnesia. Metapsionic foci work. Monster psionics are weaker and more dependant on
monster level. Semantic changes, typos fixed, spell desciptions updated, etc.

|
New to 1.0.7;
Balefire is now more true to the original idea. Being hungry is now more
debilitating and more spells cause it. Added detonate and ultrablast side effects.
Balefire is cheaper and other PK attacks are more expensive. Pet displacement now
works. Several new powers were added; empathy, intensify, metaphysical analysis,
wall of force and steal time. Ultrablast now targets all monsters in sight. Now
based on the final version of 2.8.3. Monster psionics were weakened and paralysed
characters resist mental attacks better now, but berserk characters are more
vulnerable. Telepathic attacks against undead and demons risk backfiring. Monster
AI is now optional. Adrenaline control is slightly weaker, is incompatible with
biofeedback, exaggerates it's benefits on the character information screen and
risks cutting out suddenly and causing crashes when it ends. High level psionicists
have weaker melee skill.

|
New to 1.0.7b;
Mind wrack now works. Metapsionics work properly. AI is now optional. Some items
now provide resistance to mental attacks from monsters. Feather Fall provides
Resist Gravity. Most of the changes of Jonathan Ellis' 283editC patch applied. New
exclusively psionic monsters - Master Illithids, and Ilsenine the Illithid
God-Brain taken from AD&D monster mythology. Helf files updated. DOS prefs bugs
fixed.

|
New to 1.2.0;
Lots of tweaks! Any chance of a decent changes document?
|
|
New to 1.3.0;
The codebase was updated to vanilla 2.9.2. Cursed ego items are generated in a
more sensible manner now. Objects with boosted damage dice are slightly more
common. Rogues can set traps for monsters. Some monsters can disarm traps, and a
monster that has disarmed one of your traps will learn how to disarm all of them.
Ammo Traps can have (+hit,+dam) just like bows. A bookstore was added. Since
several monsters changed their positions, some uniques might get resurrected.
Searching and Pseudo-ID bonus combined to "Sensing". Psionic Foci are "*" now.
Lots of new amulets were added. Priests should only use blunt or blessed ammo, or
get a severe to-hit penalty (-15). Being hungry no longer has effects on your
speed. Potions of Infravision give +30 feet now. Adrenaline (as potions or as
spell) is a lot better now, but too much of it is still dangerous. Heavy
Curses (such as on Calris) can't be broken by enchanting alone anymore.
Precognition should be less scummy than in 1.0.7b and more useful than in 1.2.0
now. Some low-level psionic spells have a better damage/mana ratio now.
Psionicists have more hitpoints. The spell and activation of clairvoyance doesn't
detect objects anymore. Revamped targetting for Telekinesis, Dimension Door etc.
Summoning flags changed slightly.
