Angband/64 (Jangband)
How does it differ? As of 1st February 1998, Jangband became Angband/64. This started out as a variant implementing multiple items per square, until Ben's code came along. Since then, it's had a multitude of things added - vampiric weapons, enchant armour/weapon scrolls can now work on Amulets of the Magi and Rings of Slaying, new ego armour, a few new artifacts, dual-handed weapon wield, enlarged the dungeon in a BIG way! There are 47 different types of traps too, which can be on doors as well as the floor and chests, and there can be multiple traps on each item. Stairs don't always go to the next logical level. Terrain around the town, corpse effects, new town. Magic has been totally revamped - spells are learnt from pages found in the dungeon, which can eventually be memorised and written into books, which come in various sizes and can hold different numbers of spells.
